U.S. Border Security Council Champing at the Bit for Immigration Battle

As the immigration landscape continues to change during the onset of the 115th Congress, the U.S. Border Security Council is continuing to work with our close allies in the House and Senate to ensure that President Trump’s wall on our southern border is completed, and our current immigration laws are upheld.

“President Trump promised a wall, and our members and supporters are going to hold him to that promise,” states National Spokesman Steven J. LeBlanc.  “Immediately after the election, we wrote to President Trump to detail exactly how to complete the wall on our southern border, by using Public Law 109-367, the ‘Secure Fence Act’ which was passed on October 26, 2006,” continued LeBlanc.  Public Law 109-367 was passed in 2006, only to be amended just over a year later.  “President Trump can simply use Public Law 109-367 by striking the amendment and calling on the Secretary of the Department of Homeland Security to identify and begin construction where the DHS deems it necessary,” concluded LeBlanc.

The U.S. Border Security Council will continue to fight the battle on Capitol Hill, but it is essential that you do your part as well by continuing to stay active in our national survey campaigns and petition drives.
